[282] I would just like to say that I'm so saddened that just when I begin to
learn more about the artist that has made the longest lasting impression on me, she is
gone and I'm sitting here in tears. I just bought her Greatest Hits CD, and I've always loved the song "The
Look of Love" and its haunting flavor. Ever since I was a young child this song has held a
mysterious attraction for me. I never knew about her
views on sexuality and so forth, but I don't care about that. In fact, I agree with
everything she says. I think we are all lacking in our self identity, and the people we all seem to know the least
is ourselves. Trying so hard to understand others. Dusty is in a better place now. I believe this with
all my heart. God bless her soul. It's as if this mysterious attraction I have for her, this
sadness I feel means that some people are in need of certain others. We click. I'm a fan of many musical tastes, but this is one
special woman. Her music lured me in, and getting to know her through this website has
assured me that I will be a lifetime, knowledgable fan of this dearly deoparted icon.

[283] I was deeply saddened by the untimely death of Dusty Springfield. I am
48-years old and have heard her music for years. She had a very great and versatile voice. I also am into the
Pet Shop Boys big time. I loved her with them on "What Have I Done To Deserve This?" - terrific.
Dusty will be missed. She certainly left her mark on the world of music. Just wanted to say I cared.

[284] What a great story! I admit I just looked your page up to see what Dusty
looked like - I only know her as a beautiful voice that gets so much radio play. It seems she's
been on the airwaves since I was a kid, and I guess she was. Much of the time I didn't really pay
attention. Her music was too polished at times - that kind of Hollywood sound. But man, she was a talent.
Her story was so interesting. And the pictures showed her changing as she aged - from "big hair" and
lots of make-up, to a beautiful mature woman. Fascinating. Thank you for sharing all this.

[285] Thank you, Dusty, for being here as a voice and a person for the past three
decades of my life. Your songs have enriched my life in a way no others have. I just hope that you now know how much you
have meant to all of us who were priviledged enough to appreciate you when you were alive.
Once again, a simple thank you is all I have to offer.
