Dedicated Access
CP Telecom's dedicated access is designed for businesses that want to connect their local area and wide area networks directly to the Internet. Dedicated access provides you the speed and service you need to accommodate multiple users, large file transfers and remote access to other computers. CP Telecom offers connections with speeds from 56K in 64K increments up to 1.5 Mbps and in increments of 1.5 Mbps up to DS3 speed. Our Network
CP Telecom's backbone is a fast, rigorously engineered and ultra-reliable TCP/IP network. It consists of DS3 and DS1 multiple redundant circuits for routing efficiency and reliability. The underlying physical network is a series of bi-directional links terminated with Cisco Enterprise routers. In the unlikely event that a circuit fails, traffic is instantly and automatically rerouted around the failure. All CP Telecom switching nodes are located in power-protected physically secure facilities. These strategies allow CP Telecom to deliver network availability better than 99.9%. The Network Operations Center represents CP Telecom's commitment to providing businesses with a service capable of supporting mission-critical applications. Our engineers are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The center uses SNMP and custom network monitoring tools to monitor the entire network and every dedicated connection customer's link every five minutes. The monitoring provides usage statistics, loopback information and error rates and helps with troubleshooting should there ever be a problem.
In the rare event of a customer outage, a Network Operations Center engineer is immediately assigned to determine the cause of the connection failure. The customer's primary technical contact is notified and a trouble ticket is created. Escalation procedures ensure that proper attention is paid to current outages.
If the problem seems to be with the telco circuit, CP Telecom contacts the appropriate carrier and works with them to ensure that the circuit is working properly. In all cases, CP Telecom works with the carrier and the customer to ensure that service is restored as quickly as possible. Once the link is back up, CP Telecom contacts the customer to verify that the link is indeed functioning properly.
